Things to know
HEIC stores more colour information than JPG, so a converted file loses a small amount of dynamic range — usually invisible, but noticeable in heavily edited high-contrast photos. Live Photos convert to their still frame only; the motion component is discarded. Very large batches may be slow, since decoding happens on your device.
