Compress PDF
Shrink size, keep quality.
Reduce a PDF's file size — useful for email attachment limits, upload caps on job/college portals, or just saving storage space — while keeping the document readable.
Files are processed on your device — never uploaded unless you choose server compression above.
Supported formats
Accepts standard PDF files (.pdf). Works best on PDFs with embedded images (scanned documents, photo-heavy reports); text-only PDFs are often already small and may not shrink much further.
Things to know
Compression quality is a trade-off — very aggressive compression can make embedded images visibly blurrier. If the browser-based pass doesn't shrink your file enough, this tool offers a higher-quality server-side compression option as a fallback.
How your data is handled
The default compression runs entirely in your browser. If you use the optional "server compression" fallback for tougher files, that specific file is sent to our server for processing and not retained afterward.
