Add a password to a PDF so it can only be opened by someone who knows the password — useful for sending sensitive documents (contracts, financial statements, personal records) securely.
Encrypted in transit and deleted as soon as your file is ready.
Supported formats
Accepts standard PDF files (.pdf) and applies standard PDF password encryption.
Things to know
This adds an open-password (required to view the file at all). It doesn't apply granular permissions like "view but don't print" — those require more advanced PDF security tooling. Remember the password you set; there's no way to recover it if forgotten (use Unlock PDF only if you already know the current password).
How your data is handled
Since applying real PDF encryption requires server-side libraries, your file is uploaded for processing and the password-protected result is returned; it isn't retained afterward.
